David Burnett has been performing and teaching music for over 25 years. He holds a Bachelor's of Music in Jazz Studies from San Diego State University. David is a versatile performer and teacher, with extensive experience in numerous genres including jazz, classical, showtunes, Irish, and rock, to name a few. He is a woodwind doubling specialist and plays flute/piccolo, clarinet (incl. Eb, alto, and bass), oboe, bassoon, all saxophones, and pennywhistles. David has taught hundreds of students throughout Southern California and north Texas, ranging in age from 6 to 99 and all experience levels. Some of David's most notable performance highlights include alongside Jeff "Skunk" Baxter, Pete Christlieb and Bill Watrous, to name a few. He has also performed with Evanescence & Lindsey Stirling and premiered the current version of the touring musical Jesus Christ Superstar, as well as numerous other touring shows and acts. Of all his musical experiences, David enjoys teaching the most. In his free time, he likes working on computers, enjoying the outdoors and spending time with his wife and daughter.
